How does it work?

LIPO-loss is a painless ultrasound treatment used to remove fat cells and cellulite. It is a scientifically proven non-invasive and non-surgical way of transforming your figure. The Lipo-loss system uses patented technology to deliver focused ultrasound energy at a precise depth within the subcutaneous fat layer. It selectively targets and disrupts only fat cells, leaving surrounding structures such as skin, blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue unharmed. Lipo-loss uses ultrasound technology to remove fat cells permanently. Once removed, these cells will not regrow.

What will I experience during treatment?

The therapist will begin by marking the area to be treated. During treatment, a handheld device delivering ultrasound energy gently glides over the marked area. The treatment does not require anesthesia. Patients consistently report a painless and comfortable experience.

Where does the Fat Go?

Ultrasound waves, through a process called ‘cavitation‘, break open fat cells and release the fat (triglycerides) stored within. The released fat is emulsified and passes though your veins and lymphatic vessels and is processed by your liver. The liver makes no distinction between fat coming from the ultrasound treatment and fat originating from consumed food. Both are processed by the body’s natural mechanisms.

How many treatments will I need to achieve the desired results?

Each course of treatment consists of between 2-8 sessions, each lasting an hour, The number of sessions needed will be dependent on the size of the treatment area. With 2-3 weeks between visits, the course can be completed within 4-16 weeks. In clinical trials, an average of 2cm reduction in circumference was achieved after a single treatment of the abdomen, outer thighs, or flanks .

Are there any side-effects?

Unlike the surgical method of fat removal, there are absolutely no side effects. There is no downtime, and no need for follow-up visits. As soon as the session is over, you can immediately resume normal daily activities. Patients state that there is no post-treatment discomfort. The skin surface remains smooth and unlike traditional liposuction, there is no lumpiness.

Are the effects long-lasting?
The effect is permanent. As fat cells are not able to multiply, once removed they will not return. This is similar to removal of fat by surgical liposuction, but in this case - 100% non-invasively.
Which areas can be treated?
We all know the difficulty of losing fat in stubborn areas such as ‘love handles’, lower abdomen or outer thighs. Lipo-loss is ideal for these targeted areas, and can be used on any area where there is excess fatty deposits.: chin, ankles, arms, buttocks, inner thighs even the eye lids and labia
